I will add more pictures as I receive them.
Enjoy!
p.s. If any of you really enjoy webdesign, I'd be really very happy to pass this job on to someone else, as my skills are somewhat lacking in this area. : )

Hi Everyone,
Welcome and welcome back! Hopefully everyone had some restful summers because it will soon be time to make new friends, improve your game, get a good workout and have fun while doing it! This year we will have an intramural club and an extramural team. We also have a new coach joining us this year.
So mark your calendars! Our first meeting will be Friday, September 14, 7:00pm. More information about the club and how to join the team will be dispersed then. We will be at the Coles Sports Center (on Bleecker and Mercer), in the Field House court 1 (downstairs). Please bring your own rackets. We may have a few extras for those who don't have them yet.
Gym times are typically Fridays 7-10:30pm and Sundays 4-7:30pm.
If you have any questions, please contact Emily Chan at chemily@nyu.edu
The IBA will be coordinating college badminton competitions throughout the United States starting in the fall of 2007. One of the goals of the IBA is to develop a standard team match format that will eventually allow men’s and women’s badminton to become an official NCAA and NAIA sport. The IBA does not include co-ed competition; instead, there are separate men’s and women’s teams.
The IBA match format is the same as college tennis: three doubles matches and six singles matches. At least three badminton courts are needed to host a match, and teams should have six or more players. Teams of four or five players may compete against full teams of six or more, but they will have to forfeit vacant positions.
All team members must be currently enrolled full-time students (undergraduate or graduate). Teams will schedule their own matches, and team contact information will be available on the IBA web site.
In order to compete in an IBA Regional Tournament, a team must play at least two dual matches against other IBA member teams before the Regional Tournament. This gives teams the entire fall semester and the month of January to play at least two dual matches. Two matches played against the same school will fulfill this requirement.
There are eight IBA Regions in the U.S., and each region will have an IBA Regional Tournament in February 2008. Regional winners willqualify for the IBA National Championships in April 2008. Dates andsites for the IBA Regional Tournaments and the IBA National Championships will be announced soon. There are no entry fees for the IBA Regional Tournaments or IBA National Championships.
The IBA web site, which includes announcements, rules, results and rankings, can be viewed at: ibabadminton.com

So Customink is a site we can use to get shirts. If we get Hanes tagless it will cost 14.48 per shirt if we get 12, 12.47 per shirt if we get 16 and it just keeps decreasing. GIldan's brand is cheaper, but I haven't really heard of it and it's not that much less costly. The shipping is free too.

This year's design is by Viviana Espinosa from the Interactive Telecommunications Program @ NYU. The white statue will be printed on a purple T shirt with words saying NYU Badminton on the back. The image shown above is 90% of the final work, she will spend some time on fine tone it a bit. By the mean time if you are interested in having this year's T, please contact us during the regular practice hours.
These are the links to the information about the Charlotte Open and the Mid Atlantic Open. I went to both last year. The Mid Atlantic tournament is a ranking tournament so it has all the best players.

Message from Patty (team member 05)
So how's everything? The other day I went up to Boston and had contact with the president of BU's Badminton Club. He has no problems about having some games with us. So I think we should talk about this someday, probably soon. So we'll discuss the days to visit and some days for them to come as well. That's just my initial thoughts. If anything comes up between now and next time we meet, feel free to email me.
Message to the team

The Team Selection
The first round of team selection will start on Friday (9/15) at 7:00 PM. Please come at least 15 to 20 minutes before, so that we can put you guys into a ladder system. In the event that you can't make it, please email KaKi at info@nyubadminton ASAP. Please look over the list of names below, separated by gender, and make sure that it is correct.
